He nodded, contemplating how it felt to do the patronus.
"You know, the first time I did it, it was to save Sirius and, well, myself, oddly enough.... but it felt like it was bursting out of me like an explosion." He thought back to that night on the lake, when he'd saved his Godfather's life, when he'd thought his Father had come to save him, only to realize that it was him the whole time. He shook his head and smiled just a bit.
"And with wandless... well, I can manage some things fairly well. Transfiguration wasn't difficult for me." he said proudly. So... how do we start then?" he asked curiously.
He nodded, understanding what Harry meant. There weren't words enough to articulate what it meant to him, even if his understanding of it was primarily intellectual, that Harry had saved Sirius from dementors. Sure, he knew Sirius had died, he knew that. It wasn't even so much that Sirius' death had been delayed, but that Harry had been able to prevent Sirius' soul from being sucked out of his body.
A broad smile lit his face.
"Transfiguration was my best subject," he mentioned, striving for a very off-hand tone. After a nearly apologetic sigh he answered, "With reading. A lot of reading. It'll go faster for you, with me to teach you. None of us had any idea what we were getting into, or which texts to trust. Merlin, it took us years. And we've got to be careful, I mean, if you screw it up, sometime- I mean, I'm sure I could fix just about anything, but you never know with this sort of thing. There's a reason the Ministry usually oversees this" he added with a smirk. "First, however, I reckon we ought to start with breakfast. You may have a lovely jacket, but I'm freezing. And beside, Graciela will make us something to settle your stomach."
