Draco sighed at her question. She was right, or rather, she would have been right if it weren't for the fact that Weasley wasn't an Integrationist at all. She simply appeared to be one. He wondered if there were something he could do for Daphne to make sure she stayed clear.
"Yes, this whole thing is ridiculous. I'm trying to figure out how to make sure you don't get looked at too closely. You escaped the first round of fiascos, I'd hate to see you get involved in this mess."
He spread clotted cream over another bite of scone, then set it down and looked at her.
"I'm not sure if Weasley will vouch for me. I've gotten her to admit I'm not all evil. Though I'm not sure how to translate that to a Ministry keep away sign. I tried the charity thing, but that seems to have only incited the curiosity of Miss Granger," he groaned.
"Any ideas?"
Blaise may have deserved what he was getting, but certainly not for Separatist ideas. And attaching himself too closely to Daphne would only lead to problems for her later if the eye of the Ministry fell on him.
