He was not sneaking around. The bookstore was kind of near the record store, anyway. Well, it wasn't that many blocks on the other side of Grimmauld Place. But if Sirius didn't know, that meant James had probably had no idea what was going on at the time. The idea that James might have done something terrible, something that hurt Lily without his even being aware of it was decidedly more worrying than the idea that it was just something in that lost year of his memory that eluded his mind. But at least there was a bit of hope: if Lily couldn't tell him, there was a possibility she'd talked to Remus.
Pushing the door open, the almost heavy smell of books old and new enveloped his senses. With a grin he realized Remus was likely making something of a heaven out of this after-life. Little time was spent looking around, his eyes and focus instantly snagging on the young man behind the counter, oblivious to the rest of the world. Behaving as if he'd been there a dozen times before, he leaned casually against the counter.
"So this is where you hide all day," he greeted, resuming his visual inspection of the place.
