Esteemed Editor and Established Readers,
While it is unfortunate that vandals have taken it upon themselves to revive a symbol of absolute horror, it is necessary to see such events as they truely are. It is my understanding that as we have continued to discuss integration with the Muggle Prime Minister that copies of recent editions of Hogwarts a History and other updated history books have found themselves into the local libraries as top reads with new pictorial technology. Such books contain renditions of the Mark which has provided the opportunity for Muggle youth who are into darker practices of their own a new way to express themselves. What we should not be tolerating is the manner in which ideals that bring our community such anguish are shared as freely as a birthday cake at a child's party.
So, Minister, if you are reading this, I would like to know what you are doing to ensure that the Muggles understand that such a hate crime against Wizards is not acceptable. If blatant terrorism and bigotry are allowed to be disguised as nothing more than simple vandalism, what's to say that any of us are safe from Muggles. Our world still has a variety of laws governing what we can an cannot do where Muggles are concerned. Will the Muggle government reciprocate in kind?
