It was a good enough excuse to get into the habit of the tale. Certainly, Bellatrix needed no practice with it. She was the one who had selected this couple, this persona, specifically for their history. While neither of the Yaxleys' speech had been overcome by Russian influence, every so often a word was just ever so slightly different. Though it was not something Bellatrix enjoyed she had done nothing to discourage it from Kastra's tongue. It would fade soon enough, and it was a necessary component.
"Originally from England, though my husband and I have been in Russia for the past few years," she replied, rattling it off with a tried sort of air as though she had already explained this to quite enough people that evening.
To save herself the need to say anything else, and to hasten her departure, she delicately returned her cigarette to her lips.
