As Sirius left, Tonks took a deep breath and stripped off her clothes. They'd have to be washed. Fortunately a deep red robe hung on the back of the door that she could use and Tonks was sure there'd be extra clothes somewhere in the master bedroom or attic.
She slowly lowered herself into the bath and let her body relax. Maybe sleep was a good idea. Half-heartedly she scrubbed her hair and body with a soapy wash cloth, not caring how much time was passing. All she needed was time to collect her thoughts, time to be alone to pretend like the world hadn't changed. Closing her eyes, she sat in the tub until the warmth of the water had escaped into the universe.
"Everything will be ok," she whispered to herself. Finally she got up the strength to get out of the tub and wrapped herself with the robe. It smelled of Sirius. She smiled slightly as she picked up her clothes and crept down the hall into the master bedroom.
