Next week would be lovely. I'm rather available, so feel free to name the time and place.
I'm rather worried the whole concept of integration is running on legs not yet fully developed. Hermione said something, questioning why wizards could pass through muggle society, but muggles weren't allowed to do the same in ours - but it just makes so little sense to me. Muggles need protection from the dangers of the magical world, some of which they aren't even capable of perceiving. And it's not as though a muggle has any sort of defense against boggarts or those Scandinavian Howler Gnomes. And if muggles are going to be exposed to that sort of thing, who's going to be responsible for their safety?
It just seems like everyone keeps talking about whether integration is good or bad when really, we don't even know if it could be accomplished safely. The whole mess seems so political. Though as far as policing people's thoughts go, the Ministry's been at that for as long as I, and my father, can remember.
Sorry to go on about it, it all just seems to be happening too quickly. What did you think of it?
