Blaise Zabini was cunning, weren't all Slytherins? Hermione couldn't help thinking this as the rest of her mind searched for a good response.
"Nobody can prove whether Integration will work or not, but they shouldn't be putting an end to it before it has even begun just because the Ministry hasn't answered their questions yet. Integration is going to be a long process and isn't going to happen overnight. Clearly everyone is jumping to conclusions before even giving it a chance."
Hermione could feel herself warming up from anger and frustration. It was people like Blaise that made her blood boil. Although he made a good point, she couldn't let it go. "Of course I know that, I was just as involved in the war as everyone else. It is because of the war that I think Integration can work. With Voldemort gone, there is ample opportunity to create a new society, so why shouldn't we? Yes, there will be glitches along the way, that's not debatable. However, it's worth a try, isn't it?" She paused. "Never mind, don't answer that, I already know what you're going to say."
She wasn't sure why she was participating in this debate. Blaise wouldn't give up and neither would she. It was an endless argument that would end up nowhere and wasn't doing anybody any good. Still, Hermione felt the need to defend herself should he continue.
