Date: July 9 Time: Late afternoon Location: Diagon Alley Characters: Hermione Granger and OPEN Rating: PG to start
She needed to let off some steam. The pamphlet that Hermione had received was riling her up. How could anybody believe that what the Ministry was doing was wrong? Hermione took a deep breath as she entered Diagon Alley. She remembered a time when she wondered how anybody could trust what the Ministry was doing. Things were different now, though. The Ministry was trying to improve their alliances with the Muggle world, learning to accept others, and inviting them into the Wizarding community. How was that wrong?
It was tiring trying to sort one's thoughts and opinions out. Hermione was beginning to regret even writing that journal entry. She knew there would be backlash but she also knew there would be supporters. Hopefully the latter would be the majority.
Hermione stopped walking blindly and looked around. She could remember the first time she had walked through Diagon Alley, how wonderful and exciting it had been. At the tender age of eleven, Hermione had wished that she hadn't been born in the Muggle world because she had missed so many things that Wizards her age hadn't. She could have used owls for delivering letters instead of the post office. She could have experienced chocolate frogs and moving pictures.
A sudden longing for a chocolate frog came over Hermione. Locating the sweets shop, it didn't take long to find the delicious treats sitting on display. She grabbed two and decided to browse the rest of the candies before purchasing anything.
