Regulus had been slightly perplexed to see the message that Sirius had left for him. He had come back from his swim with Bellatrix, only to discover his brother's scrawl waiting for him in the journals that they kept. He had hastily written a response, and then hidden the small book away. It wouldn't do for anyone in the Manor to find it. It was a strange and complicated though to even try to piece Bellatrix and Sirius being back together. He was getting along with Sirius again, but he imagined that the fact that he still got along withe Bellatrix would not go over well with his brother, and the same would be reciprocated from his cousin. It was just that he felt close to both of them, needed the pair of them, regardless for their disdain for each other. And he was aware that disdain didn't even begin to cover the emotions that Bellatrix and Sirius held for each other. She had killed him after all. He swallowed roughly, trying to push that thought down. It was one that he had worked hard to repress in her presence. After all, she wasn't the same women. She was younger, the Bellatrix that he knew. Whatever she had become, it must've been different, right? And again, it wasn't that simple.
Still, he was pleased to have a note waiting from his brother. Though the last time he had received such a message, it had resulted in the retrieval of the letters, Regulus felt that there wasn't such a large revelation waiting for him this time. He was curious as to what Sirius wanted. And hopeful. And though he knew that no other resident in Malfoy Manor would have wanted him to slip out to see Sirius, he dutifully moved through the quiet house just before eleven. It made him nervous to have Sirius so close to the Manor, but his brother had indicated outside the grounds, so he was assuming that Sirius wasn't going to get close enough to endanger any of them or do something stupid.
He managed to get out the door without being seen and then headed across the grounds, tucking his arms himself a little, though the night air was still relatively warm, keeping an eye out for Sirius' presence.
