Giving a small shake of her head and half a shrug she said, "I suppose if people stopped entering their names, they'd stop having the competition." People always seemed all too eager to put themselves in unnecessary danger, and left the perfectly necessary danger to be assumed by others. "I suppose it used to be sort of acceptable, and I understand the idea in making the tasks difficult, but I don't see why they have to make them so dangerous."
"I suppose so." he said as the torte was set before them. He smiled. "Ah, well." he shrugged. "Better some other poor sucker than me this time." he said, taking a bite. "Mmm, this is fantastic." he groaned. If Paris he loved one thing about Paris, it was the food. He felt like he'd gained a couple pounds, as they'd been practically eating their way around the city!
"You know, I have yet to meet a chocolate dessert I didn't like," she announced, pleased to find this was no exception. "I may have gotten a bit spoiled on this sort of fare," she admitted, not sounding the least bit concerned. "So how about you- loads of things to catch up on when we get back?"
He shrugged. "Not so much, really," he commented. "I suppose catch up with my parents, find a new career. That's likely it." he chuckled lightly. "Maybe I should check in with Hermione and Ron as well. Suppose I haven't even told them I'm back in town. You?"
Her eyes brightened, pleased to hear him mention his family casually. And it didn't strike her as odd that he hadn't crossed paths with his roommates, what with their busy schedules and Teddy being sick. "Hopefully our filing system has abstained from exploding in my absence," she chuckled after pulling her fork from her mouth. Really, she'd figured they had probably worked all the snags out of it by now. And Luna hadn't been gone so long that she'd be behind on her work, not this early in the month. "Hopefully I'll have a few articles to review before they get sent off to editing," she mused optimistically. "Things can run a bit slow early in the month." And of course, she'd need to touch base with Ginny.
He grinned, setting his fork down... he couldn't eat another bite. "So if your filing system is about to explode, I wouldn't mind helping a bit, at least until I get a job." he nodded, pulling some bills from his wallet and laying them on the cheque as it was delivered.
The idea of him having anything to do with her work, or where she worked thrilled her a little more than she expected. Really, her professional life was pretty separate from everything else, the quiet social life that it was. "If it threatens to turn our office into a wasteland of paper again, you're the only person I'd think to owl," she promised. Relinquishing her fork at last, she said after a moment's thought, "Though you know, the girls in the office have mentioned the need for a cute intern to fetch us coffee." It was the sort of joke Luna had never really felt comfortable making until Harry.
Harry laughed. "Oh, Merlin... me, getting coffee for a bunch of office ladies? That might actually... well, might be a fun break." he winked. "I think that might give me something interesting to do while I'm looking for a career, don't you think?" he smirked. He was only half kidding. He thought that might really be good.
Luna giggled at the mere idea of the reaction the girls in the office were likely to have at his presence. When they rose from their table and headed back to the lift, she was reminded again of just how gorgeous he was. Her were eyes bright and merry as she laced her hand with his. "If you think you're up to the task of fending them off, I might be able to put in a good word you," she mentioned with feigned aloofness. As they stepped into the lift began its slow decent, her smile softened and she turned so they were now standing rather close. "It would be nice, though," she said, rather amused by the idea. "Being able to see my boyfriend at work."
