He shrugged, thankful that she didn't think he was off his nut. "No one knows. Not a single one of them can remember waking up, or remember how they got to the first place they remember. I found my Mum in a muggle train station. Remus sent me a patronus from Hogsmeade, and I found him passed out in an alley. I'm not sure about the others, really. They just...appeared. You haven't had any experiences with that, have you?"
Luna had to laugh lightly, "No, no one I know has come back from the dead." It was something she said fondly, and mostly out of surprise. She regarded him for a moment before her features softened. Placing her other hand upon his as well she beamed, "But Harry, your parents are back? That's wonderful! When did all this happen?" It was difficult to not be excited over the idea. After all, if anyone deserved to have a chance to know their parents, she knew it was Harry.
He smiled a bit sheepishly, flipping his hand over and grabbing hers. "It happened a few weeks ago... well, actually that's not true. My Dad came back a few weeks ago.. maybe even months. Things have been such a blur that I don't recall times and days. But before I came to your house the other night, I'd come directly from family bonding moment... taking my Mum to see my Dad." he said with a soft smile. "I just can't believe they're back. Unfortunately I haven't been able to spend a lot of time with them."
She almost felt bad for having kept Harry from his family, but their holiday had been his idea. Still, it made her feel much more comfortable with the fact that it was drawing to a close. It wasn't that it was particularly easy to believe that some had come back from the dead, but then people used to say that no one could survive the Killing Curse either. More often than not, even the strictest rules had exceptions. And Harry was probably the most grounded person she knew. "That's really sort of fantastic - what are they like, do you remember anything of them from when you were little?" she asked, her smile still wide.
"Not much." he shook his head. "I remember the night my Mum died... that's about it. But they've been with me so often through my trials... saved me From Voldemort several times. They were always with me. And of course, I always had the stories that Sirius and Remus told me, and Dumbledore, McGonagal... even Hagrid told me about them. But it's different to have them back. They're young now, like they were when I was a baby."
Arching an intrigued brow, it was strange to think that his parents might be closer to Harry's age than the ages they ought to be. She was curious as to just how they might have returned, and why, but she was content to let another part of her mind mull that over as her focus was held by Harry. "Well, I suppose now that the Ministry's not breathing down your neck, you should be able to take the time to get to know them," she mentioned with a lift of her shoulder.
He smiled and nodded. "I think so. I mean, my Dad was really miserable without her, so I've been trying to give her a bit of space, but now maybe... hopefully they'll want some time with me. Not that I think that we're going to go fishing and do all those dodgy family bonding things, but I really want to get to know them... and... I'd love for you to meet them too." He suddenly realized how that sounded. "I mean... you know, because they're... well..." he stammered a bit, blushing brightly.
