Luna had let her eyes and attention wander, slowly looking around the room that struck her as cozy, even with its trappings of formality. It was a change, having someone else sort out lodgings, but it was so nice to simply let him take care of things. "Very good," she heard the attendant chirp, pulling Luna's focus from the small chandelier over a nearby sitting area. "We do hope you enjoy your stay with us, Mr. and Mrs. Potter." Had Luna not being paying attention, she wouldn't even have realized the woman was addressing her. Colour instantly splashed her cheeks. Rather softly she managed, "Well I- actually, it's- we're really..." She blinked a few more times and found herself at something of an amused state of shock.
Harry raised an eyebrow... he'd not said anything to the woman aside from informing her that there were two of them, and they'd only need one key. The assumption was made from there. He couldn't help but snicker at Luna's lame attempts at a protest. "Oh, let it go." he laughed, kissing her cheek and lacing his fingers into hers. "What's the harm in letting the poor woman think that we're married? I think from the smile on her face, she might think it's our honeymoon." he snickered, leading her up the staircase, looking for their room.
Somehow, Luna blushed just a bit more. Staring a bit dumbly at Harry, she simply nodded and followed him upstairs. Still, as she thought on it, she couldn't keep in a quiet giggle. When they reached their door, Luna was thrilled with how warm and charming the room seemed. Not a moment after stepping inside, she practically skipped over to the bed, letting herself fall back onto it. She promptly melted into it. It was heaven. "We must have done something truly wonderful to have pleased the traveling gods," she called over to him.
"Yeah?" he smiled, tossing his bag aside and wandering over, kicking off his shoes and flopping next to her. "Ooohhhh..." he groaned, making himself comfortable in the bed, snuggling close to her side. "You're right, we did something to have pleased them. I don't want to leave... Mrs. Potter." he laughed... he just couldn't help himself! Luna's mouth fell open in playful surprise. Giggling again, she rolled over to face him, knowing it was just for a laugh. Much as she too was having a hard time rousing herself from the sumptuous bed, the clucked her tongue and shook her head. "Mr. Potter, did you really come all the way to France to only explore a foreign mattress?" she teased.
"Well, it's better than our usual mattress surfing, lovely as yours is." he chuckled, rolling over and grabbing her, pulling her close. "Fancy a snog before we go out at least?" he asked with a mischevious grin. Though, his grin faded just a bit... he looked at her intently for a moment. "Merlin you're beautiful." he breathed, kissing her softly. "And I'm falling utterly in love with you." he whispered, pressing his forehead to hers. Maybe it was Paris, maybe it was the teasing about being Mrs. Potter, or maybe it was just the safe, warm feeling that being with her gave him... he couldn't point to the moment it'd happened, but it was true... he was falling quickly.
She had easily moved up against him. It took her breath away when he kissed her like that, making her feel like she was something special, something almost sacred. Luna's eyes widened and her lips parted. Those were words she'd never spoken, had never heard, and had certainly never even dreamed of Harry saying them to her. It was almost overwhelming, and she briefly wondered if this was what it was to swoon. A delicate but comfortable hand rose to rest on his cheek. "I think... I think the condition is mutual," she breathed. It was hard to believe, the way he made her feel perfectly safe and yet more thrilled than she'd even been in her life at the exact same time. It felt like the early signs of budding love. A grin broke across her lips, which she couldn't manage to keep from his.
