Regulus wanted to press, to ask for more information, but he knew from the shortness of her reply that was all he was going to gain from her. She was being secretive and Regulus wasn't as far in her favor as he had once been. Nagging at her for information that she didn't want to reveal wasn't going to be successful in any manner - in finding out what was going on or trying to win her back over. He bit at his lower lip for the briefest of seconds before finally submerging himself underneath the water, taking a long stroke out into the middle of the lake. The water was cold and felt good, offering a brief instant of freedom from the pressing concern of exactly what rights they were afforded in a world where they were thought dead. When he resurfaced, his hair was streaming about his shoulders, but the air was a comfortable temperature on his now wet skin.
"Something to lighten her up?" Regulus repeated with a raised eyebrow. It sounded like the type of thing that Bellatrix would do, but well. Narcissa was older now. Certainly that changed things, didn't it? It was an almost strange idea now, as if Bella had suggested doing something of the sort to one of their mothers, though Regulus would never dare to repeat anything of that sentiment to Narcissa. Still. "What did you have in mind?"
