Regulus was sprawled idly across the bed that had become his since he had come to Malfoy Manor. The room where he had been staying was slowly transitioning between just a room that he had been living in and one that was perhaps his own. It was still difficult not to immediately associate Grimmauld Place with home, but Sirius and his friends had completely taken over the residence and there didn't seem to be any plans for him to relocate from Malfoy Manor any time soon. Still, he contemplated as he stared up at the ceiling, that didn't help alleviate the boredom that he was feeling at the moment. He thought about sneaking off the grounds again and maybe going into Diagon Alley, but the intrigue just wasn't there. It would take a bit of sneaking around, risked earning a lecture from Narcissa, and he didn't know how much fun it would actually be.
Sighing in an irritated manner, Regulus pushed himself up into a sitting position on the bed. He glanced to the side, able to make out part of the sprawl of the Malfoy grounds from where he was seated. He hadn't seen Bellatrix in some time, which he supposed partially stemmed from the fact that she was still trying to accept his betrayal. While she had taken it better than he had expected (he had walked out of the room after all), it still left him with a distinct sense of unease. Was the matter to be ignored entirely? Was he supposed to resume a role that he wasn't entirely sure that he wanted to partake in again? He bit worriedly at his lower lip, a habit he knew that few in his family would tolerate. It seemed that he was picking up and reforming all these new ticks that his mother had so hurriedly tried to beat out of his mannerisms when he was a child. He realized after a few moments that he had been staring at the same spot on the grounds for quite some time. A pond - or maybe it should have been called a lake? - that dotted the surface some distance from the Manor. That, Regulus decided, was precisely what the day called. It was warm enough that it would be an entirely comfortable endeavor. Making sure that his wand was tucked securely away, Regulus slipped out of his room.
