Owl post When: Evening, 24th June. Where: From Malfoy Manor to Andromeda's home. What: Owl post. Who: Narcissa Malfoy, Andromeda Tonks
Dear Andromeda,
Draco tells me he met you at the Zabinis' gala, over dinner. I'm sorry I didn't get the chance to make the introduction myself, but I hope he acquitted himself well. We've always tried to instill good manners into him.
Given that meeting, and our own recent encounter, I hope you won't take it amiss that I'm writing to you. It really has been such a long time, but perhaps now isn't wholly inauspicious for a little communication. If you're going to be talking to my son, it probably makes sense for you and I to at least exchange words now and again. The situation that led to our encounter seems to be under control, for now.
This is only a brief note, but I have to ask about your grandson. Is he well? If he's anything like Draco, he must be a little horror at this age - digs like a Niffler, as high-handed as a Kneazle, and about as hard to control as a flutter of fairies. Draco, of course, would be horrified to know I was speaking about him like that, as he tends to forget that I refuse to acknowledge that he's of age and a man now.
Forgive the shortness of this letter - I know I used to write much longer, better ones the last time we wrote to each other.
