Ginny was a bit confused on how she had suddenly become a Slytherin magnet this evening. Perhaps they were drawn in by the green dress. She took a long sip of firewhiskey. If she was going to deal with Malfoy, she'd need it-- especially a seemingly cordial Malfoy.
She had every reason to dislike him. If it wasn't for all the years of taunting her family, there was their last exchange on the journals over Galas and society (although he had seemed to try to be civil, in a very condescending way, she thought), and if not that, then the Fred comment was more than enough. Both times he had insinuated to her being prejudiced or something like it.
He had shown his dislike before, but now he seemed to be trying for civility, once again. She was sure the irritation she felt, if not showing in her face, showed in her eyes.
"Good evening," she said, taking another sip of firewhisky and then looking at the blonde man. In Muggle clothing, although Ginny didn't feel herself swayed by the Integrationist viewpoint, she had to smirk at the idea of a Malfoy in Muggle clothing. "Thank you. Muggle clothing suits you, too."
She had a feeling this would goad him, it being the only reason she said it. If anyone disliked Mugglekind, after all, it was the Malfoys.
