Artemis' mother had tried her hardest to force Artemis to take a date to the gala, but to no avail. If she was doing Quidditch things then she didn't want to be distracted by a man she would have to watch and keep interested all the time. So alone she walked in, now over an hour late. Not that late matter in this sort of company.
Artemis' hair was pulled back loosely and simply. Matching the rest of her outfit and demeanor. Her dress was just as simple because she still wasn't sure about the idea of Muggle clothing. The soft cream coloured silk held to her curves, though, until the skirt flared at her hips. There was a small train to it that made the dress flow as she moved through the crowd. The skirt also held a blue and green floral pattern. As for jewelry she had a thin silver chain necklace and a diamond bracelet to accent.
She held her hands in front of her and kept a slight smile on her lips. It was terribly odd to have mixed company of not just muggleborns but muggles themselves. Artemis couldn't help but wonder at what would go through a muggle's brain if they saw the wizard portraits move as they should. A thought of mischief passed across her mind but it only showed as a smirk. This was not the sort of company to do such a thing with.
