Date: June 8 Time: Mid-afternoon Location: Muggle London, tour of Parliment homes Characters Involved: Blaise Zabini Status: Complete
Though it pained him to do so, Blaise was dressed in a pair of blue jeans and a corny tee shirt sporting Big Ben. If he were going to force himself to go on a Muggle historic tour he knew he best look the part. Best French accent well practiced, Blaise boarded the double decker bus that was to take this motley lot to a variety of homes owned by various members of Parliment and opened for the touring season. Trying to keep up his interest, Blaise suffered internally through the oohhs and ahhhhs of his fellow tourists as they tried to engage him in just how magnificent it all was. Finally, they made it to the home used by James Gordon Brown when in session.
Walking through the home, Blaise finally pulled out the Muggle camera he'd brought with him. He wanted to ensure that his memory didn't fail. He'd stop by one of those Muggle quick photo places when he exited the tour. The thought of spending too much time with them left his skin crawling. Still, it was the only way to set the plan in motion and make certain he was able to plant the painting where it needed to be in order for maximum damage to attempts at a finely balanced world.
After visiting the sitting room and library, the tour made it's way into Brown's miniscule gallery. There was a door opposite the one they entered and would eventually exit that Blaise was almost positive would garner him the route necessary for what he would be roping Draco into helping with. As the group headed up the stairs to the second floor to view the guest rooms that were open for viewing, Blaise told one of the ladies that had been fervently attempting to speak with him that he had to excuse himself to the privvy so no one would think twice of his absence. Heading in the opposite direction, he walked slowly enough that they all disappeared around the corner before he actually had to enter.
A few moments later, he had passed through the gallery and found that the door led him into a small service corridor. Checking the rooms along the way, he found one that seemed to be a storage area for artwork not currently hung. This would be the perfect place to bring the original that was currently stored at the Manor. At the end, another door opened up into the back pantry and eventually outside. He'd not been able to take pictures along the way as they'd likely lead to questions so he'd had to look more carefully so he could enter the rooms and the pathway into the pensieve his mother owned. In that manner he'd be able to share his plan completely with the younger Malfoy.
Once outside, he found himself in a garden along with other tour members. "I didn't see you return," the lady he'd been wanting to hex all day noted him as she started on a thread of how beautifully placed the flowers were in relation to the side of the house. With a nod of agreement, Blaise once again took out the camera and took photos of the location of the door that from the outside was hidden by a well placed trellis. Smirking to himself, he knew he'd found the perfect route.
