Sirius' eyes met those of Remus as 'Dora hugged him. McGonagall had, to his horror, listed the casualties of the war. He remembered the pang of sadness that accompanied his cousins name, one of his few decent relatives. Did Nymphadora know that she had been dead?
Although he couldn't imagine 'Dora at nine years of age had been terribly acquainted with Remus, he knew that she had joined the Order of the Phoenix years later. That was why she had died fighting with them.
"There's food, but you'll have to put up with our cooking I'm afraid" he said distractedly, peering at Tonks. Why would Molly be here? He knew that this house had once been used by the Order, but surely Dora knew that it had been a long time since that day.
"I think you better come and sit down," Sirius said, leading her through to the kitchen. He gave a silent plea to Remus to find some food whilst he tried to explain things.
Whilst Remus found something for Dora, Sirius sat down at the long kitchen table. Somehow a rather long and thick burn mark had formed along it since he'd last been here, but that didn't bother Sirius.
"Maybe you should tell me, about your day," he sat and looked at her with confusion. Did she know he had died? And if she did, why wasn't she more bewildered?
