Sirius yawned widely. It wasn't all that late, but somehow as soon as he realised he'd be staying awake all night he was suddenly tired. There was an old wireless he'd found and fixed up, which seemed to be transmitting nothing but endless boring and long discussions on gardening and other equally thrilling topics.
Picking his wand up, he stood up on the sofa and jumped over the back, down the hallway before he'd even considered that the knocker might not be entirely welcome. He was so carried away by this new age, he'd almost forgotten the cautiousness he'd lived with in 1981.
As far as he knew, only Harry and McGonagall knew that they were living at Grimmauld Place. After this long of standing empty it was unlikely anyone would come knocking here, on the off chance that someone was home.
Sirius glanced over his shoulder, checking that Remus wasn't in full view of the door. He thought it was likely to be Harry, but he opened the door with his wand raised at chest height just in case.
There was a girl with short pink hair on the doorstep.
"Uh...Yes?" Sirius said, wand still raised high. He didn't recognise her at all, but whoever she was, it was a strange time of night to be on a complete stranger's doorstep.
