With a grateful smile, Luna listened without interrupting. She watched Ginny patiently, reading the genuine expressions that shifted along her features. One of the things she enjoyed most about Ginny was how frank she could be. It was nice to listen to her winding thoughts, and Luna realized just how much she'd missed Ginny's company.
"No, it was very comprehensive. Thank you," she said pleasantly, knowing that Ginny was likely rather taxed by the topic's constant resurrection.
The previous day tugged at her mind - accidentally bumping into him, the invitation out to dinner. Surely he'd meant as friends. But regardless, she wanted to tell Ginny. Not because it was Harry, but because Ginny was her best friend. Harry wasn't someone Luna had spent all that much time with, and if that was to change, she very much hoped that it wouldn't put Ginny out.
"I'm sorry for even mentioning it," Luna said with a slightly sheepish smile. "And ordinarily I wouldn't have, except I bumped into his yesterday when I was returning Ron's cookbook, and we made sort of tentative plans to get together for dinner sometime, as friends. I really just wanted to make sure you two didn't loathe the mere sight of him."
The last bit was a joke, as Luna was sure Ginny didn't loathe anyone; except possibly Draco Malfoy. It seemed to be something of a family trait. Though he hadn't been that kind when they were in school.
