Daphne wasn't exactly sure how she felt about Pansy's 'slip' was 'tolerant'...
She simply wasn't ready to strike Pansy off of her list so easily. The girl did say she had become manipulative. In current British society having Muggle connections could be useful, beneficial. Not that Daphne had actually gone that way herself. Perhaps her own social circles' traditions had become rather ingrained in her head.
She didn't mind that one bit.
"Tolerable," Daphne said. It held many different meanings, but she hoped Pansy would get the impression that she was referring to Muggles. "I still can't really give the idea any credibility, but in this changing society... it is an advantage for you to be able to tolerate them, Pansy."
Daphne took another sip of he drink, "But Politics and cocktails don't mix do they?"
Nor did Daphne's political thoughts and open settings, these days, so a change of subject was more than due.
"And have you told any of the rest? Draco perhaps?" Daphne asked with much curiousity. In the last few years, she and Draco had developed a close friendship, and she was curious of how Pansy's reappearance might change that.
Daphne had typically been on the backburner, while Pansy with her dramatic flair took centre stage. At least, that is how Daphne had always perceived it, though she didn't particularly enjoy it despite it having its benefits.
