He nodded quietly as she spoke, then couldn't help the wry chuckle that escaped his lips. Less pragmatic? Not good at keeping a low profile? No, not at all.
He looked at her then, watching how difficult it was for her. He squeezed the hand laced on his arm briefly, gently. "Are you sure? I don't want you making this more difficult for yourself than it needs to be."
Of course she was sure. But Lucius hadn't told her about Louis, and she would hear. Oh, Merlin she would hear.
"Then there are a few matters I need to tell you before you...handle him."
He tried to steady his voice, and likely only she would know how shaky it was. But that was enough. He took a deep breath. With his father gone, it was his responsibility to care for her.
"The first, is I need to tell you he's not the only one who's returned. I only know of one other, but I can reasonably deduce that where there are two, there are more."
Tell her. Just spit it out, Draco. She's going to be livid. She's going to be furious, so just take it. Making her wait is only going to make this worse.
