Sitting down across from Alexis, Hermione felt much more comfortable and at ease. She felt ready to answer any questions the woman before her might ask.
"Yes, I was targeted. I have to say that it wasn't easy being muggleborn, but my friends were always there for me," Hermione said, then realized she might be getting off track. It was the truth, though. Ron and Harry, after the episode with the troll, had always made her feel welcome and a part of the group. Plus, Harry had grown up in the muggle world as well, something that had comforted Hermione in her first year.
"Growing up as a muggle, I have seen and lived in both worlds. Therefore, I feel that I don't take magic for granted as some wizards might. Also, I know that magic isn't always necessary. Muggles survive without magic every day, so there are other options if magic should fail." Hermione hoped she was saying the right things. She was telling the truth and voicing her opinion and that was really all she could do.
