After laying out her plan, she had decided to approach Madame Malkin's shop. She had swept in, and evaluated the existing merchandise in a glance; she was impressed with the variety and quality. As she examined a black outfit that had caught her eye, the proprietor had goggled at her upon her entrance, and approached her hesitantly. The interchange had been amicable. She had been recognized as Niky Parks. She had given the woman a head shot with her autograph. Niky coyly confessed at being lost and was unable to explain how she had ended up in this place but that the store front had caught her eye. They had chatted back and forth about fashion and the industry. Apparently, Madame Malkin kept an eye on the fashion world and although the woman never mentioned the Muggle fashion world, Pansy knew exactly what she meant. Then Pansy had casually brought up her desire to find a shop just like this to carry her clothes. She had left the discussion at that. The woman had hesitated a moment but then seemed interested. Pansy didn't have to use Occlumency to know what was going on in the other woman's mind; there was a risk at carrying Muggle clothes in a Wizarding robes store. But Pansy was sure that the monetary benefits would take over the decision making process. She was convinced that Niky's line of clothing would be carried by the store. Pansy made arrangements to come by again, with the samples. Madame Malkin was very enthusiastic, and she made Pansy take the outfit she had been examining, as well as a number of others. Loaded with a large bag, Pansy left the store calmly while she gloated internally.
It had gone exactly as she anticipated. She would reveal herself to be a witch, to the Wizarding world, at some point. The information would bridge the two worlds, and she would be a financial success in both realms. Her only effort was to keep the name Pansy Parkinson out of the picture. She thought it would not be too difficult; she was hardly recognizable as her former self. She had nipped into Florish and Blott's, to pick up a several Witch Fashion magazines. She thought if she was bridging this world from the Muggle one that Tony was going to have to be told. She had been cautious about revealing too much to her manager; she had not told him anything about her background, and had kept any evidence of her witch status secreted in her rooms. But she was going to tell him; the easiest way to start was to let him look at the magazines. She decided she would get some coffee, and made a beeline for an outside table at the little place just down the street from the bookstore. Madame Penny's Cafe was not crowded, and Pansy took a seat, and re-sized her packages so that they fit neatly in her purse. It was a relief to perform a simple magical feat in the open.
She sighed happily, and ordered. Opening a magazine, she began to look at the pictures with a critical eye and smiled. She had actually learned quite a bit in the last three years. She was their equal, if not the other models' superior. With a smug look of satisfaction, she fished in her bag for a cigarette.
