"Yes, the Quibbler's edited by my father," she announced proudly.
She knew that few people publicly praised the magazine, but that was part of why she loved it so much. There was express need for dissent amidst publications like the Prophet and Witch Weekly. That Nyssa had a fondness for her father's magazine prompted Luna to turn and open her stance wider to the other woman. Luna followed the change in conversation without contest. Topic jumps were familiar enough in her own line of thought to find the pace endearing. It occurred to Luna that she may have found a cohort after all.
"Well," she began, dropping her voice as though she were revealing something secret, "There is a lake... near my father's house. I know that it's cold out, but with the proper warming charm... I think a couple of bored girls might find a way to pass the evening?"
She looked at Nyssa hopefully. Most anyone else probably would have ignored her in the first place. Besides, swimming seemed like a perfectly fine way to get to know someone.
