Ginny hadn't been put in the best mood by Ron's decision to speak to Malfoy, but she couldn't help feeling the corners of her mouth pull upwards at his remark, but the slid back down. Ron's approach actually reminded Ginny of the many accounts she'd heard of Draco Malfoy's bullying.
She supposed after years of dishing it out, he could take it just a little bit.
Hermione's entrance was still a welcome distraction, "Hello, Hermione. Glad you could join us." If Ginny had it in her to say anything awkwardly, she would, but the innerconfidence of the woman left her words unwavering.
"I believe we were meant to be getting tea, or a butterbeer, but somehow we, well Ron, got distracted along the way," she said quietly as an aside to Hermione. Ginny had always gotten the impression that Hermione liked to be in the know of things.
