Ron's weekend had been relaxing and this day was no exception. He was strolling, at Ginny's side, down the street from her place, towards the Three Broomsticks. He had convinced Ginny to get out of her place, and grab a bite to eat with him. It was always nice to see her; it felt like he never got to spend enough time with the people that really mattered to him. He had been telling her about his cooking lesson with Luna, and how they had chatted and caught up while he learned how to cook at least one edible dish.
Before he had left, he had written a message for Hermione at the the apartment; he knew she would like to try to get a few things done before their weekly outing. So he had written her, telling her to come over when she was ready. He thought he could spend some time with Ginny and then Hermione would arrive; they could either stay, or head out for a Sunday trip.
He held the door open for his sibling, and moved in behind her. This place was like home, and gave him that satisfied feeling in his chest. That was, until he glanced over and saw their company. Resolved not to let the ferret get to him today, Ron decided a direct assault was better than avoidance and hiding. He felt confident; he was in the presence of his beautiful sister. He thought he could handle one small interaction with Draco Malfoy.
Thus, he steered Ginny towards a table that took their path right by Draco's. He wasn't sure what to say; he was pretty sure Draco would have something snide pop out of his mouth the moment he caught sight of him. Ron steeled himself, and looked down at Draco as they just reached his table, "Hello to you, Malfoy."
