He shook his head a little at the question, no, Draco had not told him. But neither had he worked up the will to ask Draco. It was hard enough to sort through and understand what had happened during the wars.
Regulus listened to the list wordlessly, remaining unmoving in front of Lucius. His gaze dropped away from the other's as Lucius stepped away, letting it rest at a stop near the piano. His jaw tightened a little. He thought he had reconciled himself a little, prepared himself for the list that would surely have come. Still, it hurt to know that they were all gone. Especially Sirius, he had never gotten the chance to say that he was sorry to his brother, to try and explain himself fully. He had wanted to so badly, but there had been too much risk. He couldn't endanger his brother or what he was doing. Though... There were those few missing months. Maybe he had seen his brother one last time. Maybe they had reconciled.
Bellatrix, too, it was difficult to think of her. He felt as if he had surely betrayed her more than Narcissa. Narcissa, in his recollection, had always been loyal to the Dark Lord, but Bellatrix had always been passionate about her work. Regulus had been terrified to be near her when his own loyalties had started to waver, certain that she of all people would decipher him.
"It's fine," Regulus answered after a moment, but even he could detect the slight unevenness of his voice. "Bella," Regulus pressed after a moment. "Did she and Rodolphus ever have any children? Did Sirius?" There was so much missing time, too much missing time.
