WHO: Georgie and Armando Weasleyswap WHAT: Georgie is having a hard time. Fix it Manny. WHEN: May 10; following this WHERE:Her Their room; Southern Island RATING/STATUS: TBD/In progress
When Georgie came to the islands and found that some people who were supposed to be dead actually weren't, she felt a giddy sort of hopefulness that maybe she would see her sister again. As some time passed and more people showed up who weren't Fred, she got moody, and then finally, finally, she did. But maybe it wasn't such a good thing. Because three years after her death, Georgie wasn't entirely over it. And maybe she never would be, really. Manny had done so much, been her rock and stability and conscience, made her get up every morning even when she didn't want to, and made her smile when she didn't think she could.
Maybe one day she would have been okay, maybe even happy, but with Fred back in her life, and the lines between dead and not dead blurred, if something happened to her twin this time, she wasn't sure she could do it. But Georgie didn't think about that. The only thing she'd thought about since finding out that dead people didn't have to be dead anymore was that things would go back to the way they'd been.
And they weren't. Things were not the same at all, and that was hard. Georgie expected to be all laughs and pranks and inventions again, but instead, she got laughs and half-hearted pranks and the occasional night where she cried because things were different and maybe they'd always be different and what if she got sent back home and had to lose Fred all over again?
Manny's arrival was nothing short of perfect timing, especially once Fred started on about people moving on without her, even blowing Georgie off when she tried to tell her it wasn't true. And when it upset her, she couldn't tell her why. She wouldn't understand. Only Manny would, which was why she needed him to come talk to her.
She was sitting on the bed when he entered, but got up to put her arms around him instead of waiting for him to come to her.
