Ginny grinned when he looked so obviously proud of his boat and all. "I'm glad you enjoy it. I dunno if I'd be any good at catching fish and all. Not to mention I'm not exactly a strong swimmer." And by that she meant she couldn't swim. There weren't a lot of opportunities for learning growing up and the only place to swim at the Academy was the lake, but servants weren't allowed down there.
"I haven't got a job yet." She said with a small frown. "Still waiting for the good ol' Captain to get around to figuring something out for me." It had been a good long while and she wondered if maybe he'd simply forgot about her. "Lemme tell you, it's pretty dull around here when you haven't got anywhere to be or anything you're supposed to be doing." She gave a small laugh. "On the bright side, I've been able to wander around and get a good sense of where everything is around here."
She was a bright side girl now. Getting pulled to an obscure group of islands away from the horrid life she'd known had done that to her. Turned her into a person who was a bit more positive and could see the silver lining. Sure, she couldn't cook for herself, but Dorea had been sending her food and at least she wasn't eating the gruel at the castle anymore. Sure, she didn't have any of her own family here, but at least she had versions of some of her family and wasn't completely alone. The bright side was a lot nicer than the surly side she'd been stuck with for the last few years.
"Do you wanna go for a walk around? Or I have some leftovers at my house I could reheat you for lunch, if you're hungry? Or if you wanted to do something else?"
