Lux had half the mind to protest, but backpedaled on that idea when he mentioned the unavailability of the boats. "That's.. depressing," she mumbled, not really thinking on her choice of words, until she realized Sturgis could take it the wrong way. "Not that I don't like it here in your cabin. Your company is most appreciated, honestly, and thank you for letting me stay." She put on a sheepish smile and shrugged.
She really had no time to be picky right now. It was either attempting the boats out in the cold again even though it was unavailable, or staying in a cabin with someone she didn't exactly know, but provided shelter and warmth. It was a no brainer for anyone that the latter was obvious choice, and while Lux did consider the former, staying put would be a more wise decision. Never mind Sturgis being someone she didn't know. She could get to know him during her stay anyway.
Her eyebrows shot up in bewilderment at the mention of the world he came from. She was having a hard time wrapping her head around the idea and did not want to believe such a world existed. "You're.. not serious are you?" Except he really looked like he was. He didn't have a reason to lie to her, except maybe to scare her off, but it seemed unlikely. "So, you've killed before?" she asked in hushed tones.
