WHO Erik Chagny (Shahryar) & Rastus Fox (Rapunzel’s Prince) (with a cameo by everyone's favourite wizard ;D)
WHAT Rastus meets with his new psychiatrist
WHERE Erik's office could be a good guess
WHEN Saturday noon-ish, August 25th
STATUS Incomplete // PG for now
Rastus didn't want to go. He had no interest in seeing another person who would try and diagnose him and poke around in his mind and try to get on his good side. Rastus' good side wasn't available to all that many people, and he had no intention on changing that. In fact, he wasn't mentally capable to, what with his autism, 'mild' as though it may be classified. And the blindness didn't help.
He sat next to his mum in the car, on their way to this new shrink's practice. Rastus hadn't said a word all morning, and had no plans on doing so now. Gina Fox kept glancing sideways at her son, a look of resignation on her face.
"I'm sure Dr Chagny will be okay." Silence. "It was Dr Cohen who recommended him, after all. And you liked Dr Cohen, didn't you?" No answer. "You're not going to sit quiet in there, are you? Rastus?" She sighed, taking her eyes off the road for a little longer to give him a proper look. "It doesn't help matters in the least to refuse talking." Looking back on the road now. "I know you don't like it here, but it's just a matter of getting used to it. And I know it's harder for you, don't give me that face," she added as Rastus' expression darkened and his brows furrowed. "Behave yourself, at least. Don't make me have to be ashamed of you."
Entering the office, Rastus reluctantly held a hand on his mother's arm, as Poly had been left at home for now. Walking up to the desk, Mrs Fox introduced herself and her son to the man behind it. Joshua, still not quite awake and with a big cup of coffee next to him, pressed the button on the intercom, "Erik? Rastus Fox is here. Can I let him in?"
Rastus had heard similar sentences for about two years already, yet there was something that wasn't the same. It could've been the man's voice, but it was the same odd feeling he'd gotten a week earlier when he'd met AJ. It wasn't like any feeling he'd had before, like... a strange tingle in the back of his mind. It wasn't the least bit comfortable, but he couldn't seem to shake it. Suddenly he found himself wanting to go into Dr Chagny's office, just to get away from that feeling.
