What: Crossing paths
Where: Aesop's Tables, a Seattle pool hall
When: 10:30pm
Open? To Hannah.
Hours earlier, Max had stepped through the door of the pool hall where he worked with a shit-eating grin on his face. He wasn't exactly sure where it had come from, or what had brought on his fine mood, but he wasn't about to let Ladies' Night at Aesop's spoil it. Usually he avoided the place on Monday nights as best as he could, mostly because he'd long since grown tired of drunken pickup lines from skinny-as-hell girls who looked barely legal. He knew they mostly liked talking to him because of his accent, anyway. Sure, he'd smile, pour them drinks, and gladly take their offered tip money with a smile on his face.
Max Beckett could fake a smile like no one he knew. His natural charm made him perfect bartender material, whether or not he actually found himself in a genuinely good mood or not. Tonight's mood was rare, and he wouldn't waste time questioning where it came from or how long it would last. Tonight, he would enjoy it, and enjoy making a fool out of himself in front of the ladies for the evening.
