WHO: Charlotte and Jack (That Crab and that Beanstalk boy.)
WHEN: Sunday, August 12th; 3:00 P.M.
WHERE: Borders
WHAT: The convincing of a subject that has probably been forgotten about.
RATING: TBA, even though I usually forget to edit it when I'm done. oO;
Charlotte had never been a social butterfly before. Even now she wasn't running out and joining in on everything she possibly could, but it would be ignorant to say that since she had started writing in these journals that the amount of conversations she held and the number of people she met hadn't increased considerably. She had met Jaq, for one, someone who she now wasn't sure was the best choice in her life. She was bitter over the end of their short-lived relationship, though mainly at herself for having been so naive. On another scale, she had met people whose opinions were very different from her own. She talked with people who she had formally known more frequently.
And she met yet another person who she was now willing to meet beyond the journals. She knew it could have been potentially dangerous. She knew it could have led to something disastrous. This was why she had a large can of pepperspray in her front pocket for easy access. Though she wasn't physically strong, it didn't mean she wouldn't put up a fight before going down. By the way he talked, she doubted that he would be a threat, but she would much rather be safe than sorry. As promised, Charlotte was wearing the large brown handbag that she normally carried with her. She had it for as long as she could remember. Many memories came with it, and she had no intentions of giving up dragging it around with her anytime soon.
She had made it to the front of Borders five minutes before three. She always felt a pressing urgency to arrive places before she was supposed to, and for what reason she wasn't exactly sure. It caused great panic to think about the possibility of being even a minute late, and so she took the best route out and made sure she was always early. Early meant you were prompt no matter what.
She hadn't the vaguest idea what this 'Jack' fellow might have looked like, and so she didn't even try to guess. Instead, her nose was buried in a book as she leaned against the wall, right next to the entrance of Borders. Having to tell a bookworm to wait when heaven was at her fingertips was torture, but she didn't want to miss him or keep him waiting.
