Honestly, AJ never wanted that Sunday to end, though after repeated goodnight's, she and Russ finally parted ways. AJ went to read and then sleep a bit later, but Russ would definitely have needed plenty of rest. AJ didn't manage to get to sleep until around two in the morning, as she spent a bit of time on the computer before reading. Her cheeks were feeling especially tired..having never smiled so much in one day. She felt like the luckiest girl in the universe and his smile..wouldn't leave her thoughts. That was something that actually became frustrating.
Through a tired, sleepy haze, AJ had ,managed a weird conversation with her mother. "AJ..'Gary' and I are going to run errands..aren't you coming?" A groan and AJ poked her head up from the pillow, and gazed at her mother, before falling back onto pillowtop. "No.." Was muffled, but quite understood. "Alright, I love you..there's plenty of food for you and Russell. Make sure he eats." Another inaudible few words and the door was closed. She got another good hour of sleep before tumbling out of the bed and onto the floor with a yelp. "Aw..man.." She pushed herself up in the tangle of bedclothes, onto all fours, and she blinked her daze away. AJ whined and stood up, bent over and grabbed hte covers, then tossed them onto the bed. She went into the bathroom and brushed her teeth and hair. Her hair was silky, straight, and laying perfectly about her shoulders.
Heading down the hallway, she thought she was imagining hearing scales. "I practice WAY too much.." She chuckled, her fingers wiggling inside her ear. When the sounds didn't go away, she made a confused face and turned around, heading for another set of stairs, only about five, that led to another small section of the house..there was a room. It had a few different instruments, but the main attraction was the baby grand piano that AJ had gotten for Christmas, two years prior.
She could have sworn she remembered her mother leaving. How long had she slept? Who knows. She went up the stairs and headed towards the door, the sounds not ceasing. She made sure to step lightly, and finally reached the door, her hand delicately moving to turn the knob, to enter.
