Smiling for the first time that morning, although it was a small one, Zev nodded. "Well, I have two taps in this apartment and last time I checked, they both produced water. If we're lucky, they're still working that way." As Ally sat down, he shifted a bit even though it wasn't really necessary. As she asked about his father, he shrugged. "Not really. He hasn't got much incentive to go out... I mean, I try to encourage him, but so far no bigger luck."
He surveyed his bedroom door for a few moments. "I don't think we should count on him leaving anytime soon, so our choices are sitting here and doing... nothing much, or going out there and... face our fears. Or something like that."
