Eva was shelving books on the pretty Sunday afternoon, although her attention was far and away, daydreaming about sitting out in the park, taking a jog around the neighborhood, and otherwise enjoying the beautiful weather instead of working. Shelving books wasn't a hard job at all, and the steady rhythm of sliding books into their correct order gave Eva plenty of time to think of other things.
Without thinking, then, she nudged her cart along, putting books where they belonged, and accidentally ended up pushing the cart right into the corner of a nearby table where a man and a young boy were sitting. It was a soft hit, but loud by comparison to the quiet library, and Eva startled. "Oh my goodness," she said softly, sheepishly, reaching out to tug it back away. "I'm so sorry to disturb you, the cart got away from me for a minute there, it's a bit unruly. I'm sorry, I hope you're finding everything well." Eva flashed a quick, apologetic smile.
