"Oh, that'll be easy," Dalton replied, clearing his throat dramatically and straightening out the paper in front of himself as though he were about to announce a royal decree.
He knew that Stephanie really appreciated the escape from her life in Boston, and he had been pretty much going out of his way to let her have fun. It wasn't surprising that Adelaide had noticed that he wasn't acting like himself.
"Well, three: you're fiery. You hold your own, unlike most girls I've met. Two: you amuse me, which is not something I take for granted. And one: you are beautiful and, if you do know it, you do a wonderful job of making me want to let you know, just in case." He gave her a sincere smile.
