"If there was a way that we could actually play in the pool or on a waterslide, that would be even better," Duncan added, feeling a bit like a commando chopper pilot in his giant set of earphones. A microphone on the headset would complete that ensemble, but for now, they'd have to settle for the hanging mic in front of them. "But there'd be some electrical hangups. Potentially fatal and all that. Kind of kills any talk of band longevity, doesn't it?"
How funny it was to be talking to someone he couldn't see. It was kind of like a conversation on speakerphone, though nobody was talking back. Duncan turned to Harri and asked him quite seriously. "I dunno, though. Do you think an acoustic set would work in the pool, Harri?"
Jack laughed. "Maybe we could get you a gig at the Union Pool in Brooklyn. I thought that was where you were playing, and I went there first, and almost missed the set."
"Yeah, we get that a lot," Duncan replied, continuing in a slightly higher, funny-sounding voice "Oh, I thought you guys were playing somewhere else, that's why I missed your gig," before returning to his normal speaking voice. "Maybe we need better promotion or something. Like one of those planes that writes in the sky."
