So, Jack had gotten off work. His uniform was folded and hung up in his locker at work. He had drove home, and picked up Robbie, she did an awesome job picking out clothes for him. Packed his bag neatly and had them waiting by the door for when he came in. Greeting the girl he had took the two bags to his trunk. Their trip was on it's way. It was peacful. They were cracking jokes and telling stories. On their way out, he actualy raced with a guy in a little rice burner of a Honda. Naturally, all the time and effort he had put into his car. It was fun.
On the rad they had traveled. Stopping to eat something at a diner. That was pleasant. Nothing to exciting. A couple stops to pee, and get drinks and snacks. All and all it was very fun. Though the last store they stopped at, Jack had found himself annoyed. His past relationship with Clarice, had left him very territorial over who he was sleeping with. Which happened to be Robbie. Lucky for the kid behind the counter, his companion had distracted him enough to not yank the kid over that fucking counter and beat his face in. Naturally she made jokes at him about it, though he didn't find the humour in it. So, they finally made it to the hotel. Getting checked in. He lead Robbie to the room they received. It wasn't any sort of slum hotel. It was actually decent. Indoor pool, a resteraunt in the lobby. Nice quite, and peacful time together.
Opening the door to the hotel, he had hit the first light he could so they could see. The single kingsize bed, a small bar in the room, and a nice large room for them to spend the days in. It was going to be a nice break.
"Home away from home." He smiled setting his bag down, glancing back at her.
