"Oh it's not bad," he said, in a briefly full-of-himself moment -- something that came few and far between. Gus grinned at her little promise, quite off the cuff as it was. Okay, then. Time to dive in head first.
They moved the better part of another two blocks, before he stopped short, glancing around again. He wasn't really a nervous type of guy -- just cautious. He had to be, you know? The green and white sign out front of the bank glinted off of his face.
"C'mon," he said, laughing again. "Down this way."
