Who: Rhiannon Mondale and Silas Denton [The Wolf (BWCW) and Zeus]
What: He's flying in to visit her. :D
When: Friday afternoon.
Where: Airport, then...somewhere. IDK.
Rating: Nothing too high, I don't think. PG-13?
Status: Open to lightningstrike//Incomplete.
Rhiannon Mondale wasn't the sort to get easily attached to people or, at least, admit to it. Sure, there was a handful of people that she couldn't even remotely deny caring for: Noah, Jacqueline, her father...you get the idea. But she was surprised by how much she missed them. One of them in particular.
This was stupid of her. She knew better than this. Yet she couldn't stop herself from caring so much about Silas. Not that actually caring about him was a problem. The problem was the nature of her feelings. She'd gone down this path before. She'd hopelessly crushed on a guy who would never return her feelings. Her heart would, quite honestly, never recover from that. But here she was, repeating that same mistake. Deep down, she knew Silas would never choose to hurt her. Silas was incredibly loyal, something Nate could never say about himself. It wasn't like she was falling for Nate all over again. But...Silas didn't do relationships. And even if he did, guys like him didn't fall for girls like her. They fell for cute bubbly girls with ineffectual tempers. She knew that from experience.
So, suppression for the win? It was better that way. It wouldn't jeopardize their friendship and she'd eventually get over it and move on. It sounded like the perfect plan. But it didn't stop her missing him horribly while she was in Boston. It didn't stop her from being far more excited that he was coming to visit her than she should be. It didn't stop her heart from beating double-time when she heard that his flight finally came in. It didn't stop her from running over to him and tackling him with a hug as soon as she saw him. It didn't stop her from telling him how much she missed him as she held on.
...yeah, she was hopeless.
