How had he not heard her bang on his door before now? Maybe it was just bad timing, coordinated with loud screams of cheering fans in the Olympic stadium. Brian heard the commotion at the door and padded over in his socks to see what the big deal was. Apparently, he had company.
Brian pulled back the door, spotting his sister. He was surprised to see her -- but not really that shocked that she was at his door randomly, unannounced. Brian would have been more confused if she'd called him. Hell, he might have been worried.
"Hello, Sister," he said, stepping back and giving her space to enter if she wished. Brian was relaxed, perfectly contented watching tv for the evening, but he had a feeling his world was about to be shaken. It always seemed to go that way when it came to their family.
