That was one of the many things that kept repeating itself in the mind of one Marlene Summers as she sat on the floor of her closet, fumbling through clothes and shoes, occasionally pushing her small dog, Maggie, away as she tried to pick and choose just what she wanted to have with her to start out with. She was leaving soon and while she had a bulk of her work done, there were still a few things here and there that she needed to take care of before she'd be ready to leave. At least, she had decided, she was staying in one place for a while to start out with... she always had that, right? A few places for weeks at a time before the real madness started. Leaving and moving and only staying at a place for a few days at a time before moving on to the next.
As much as it scared her to think about, yes, she was more thrilled than anything else. By nature, Marlene was a flighty and impulsive sort of girl, acting on instincts and in-the-moment as opposed to thinking and planning. So, having a basic idea but not knowing exactly what was going to happen thrilled and excited her and gave her a bit of a rush. What stopped that rush, however, was knowing who and what she was leaving behind. Her family. Her friends. Her now-boyfriend who she was currently living with and was reminded of this every time she came across something of his that had somehow gotten mixed in with her things. She frowned for just a moment, tucking one of her long dark locks of hair behind her ear as she untangled her legs and leaned over to reach for her phone, dialing a number that had become familiar to her over the past few weeks. Nobody else she knew understood the magnitude of this and thank God the company had sent out contact information for the cast and crew because she didn't know what she'd have done without it.
Shooing Maggie away, she bit on her bottom lip and waited for the other girl to pick up. "... Teeny? It's Marlene." A pause. "How're you?"
