River would be very right about his guess as to why she had forgotten her own birthday. Addison had her out running errands the days before, and after the fourth...oh yeah, and on that day as well. In fact she hadn't even seen the slightest hint of a firework because she'd been inside an office the entire night. She was use to missing important things because of work so she'd just shrugged it off, thankfully River wasn't going to let her though.
The entire half hour that she was waiting for him was on pins and needles, probably way to excited to find out what it was he'd come up with to make up for her missing such an important day. She'd even changed from her sweatpants to jeans to make sure she could leave if the need arose.
Hearing the knock at her door Alyssa smiled, getting up off the couch to go answer it, making a quick stop by a picture that had a mirror in it to make sure she didn't look horrible before actually opening it. Leaning against the frame she smiled at him, "You made it in 30 minutes, looks like I don't get this visit for free do I?" She teased a bit before stepping to the side and letting him come in her place, leaning up and giving him a kiss on the cheek as he passed.
