Lacey wasn't kidding when she said her legs felt like Jello, and today was no different. She could tell by tomorrow, though, she'd more than likely be sore. At least it was just the jello feeling for now. She thankfully had the day off tomorrow, so all she had to do was make it through today. Sundays were always busy with brunch for church goers until about 2 o'clock, and it just started to lag off. Most people adhered to that whole "day of rest" thing. Too bad Lacey couldn't do the same, but meh. It didn't phase her much. Well, it normally didn't. Right now, she was just ready to go home and go to sleep. Even if she could do that, Andrea wouldn't let her. That girl had an incredible amount of energy.
All that was left was an older man, about in his mid seventies, sitting in a corner booth. He was a regular, and Lacey didn't have to do much for him at the moment but give him more coffee every once in a while. She took a seat next to the only other waitress there that day on one of the stools in the center. Her back was to the door as she faced the other woman in those oh so wonderful blue diner dresses that Lacey hated so much, silently hoping that the little bell above the door wasn't going to be clanking any time soon.
