"Right." She did understand, to an extent. Enough to know that she wasn't wrong in worrying every day that something terrible would happen to him and she would have no earthly idea. Enough to know that she would have to live with going what seemed to her like far too long in between seeing him. But understanding it never made that part any easier. She was an entirely too emotional person, and she could understand she wanted, but it would never change how she felt.
Her hand stayed there, just gently using her thumb to caress his jawline. She took a deep breath and sighed a little. She always felt, for some reason or another, like she shouldn't make the first move to kiss him, but seemed like the only thing she ever wanted to do upon first seeing him. That and argue, it seemed. "Thank you. For the flowers. They're beautiful."
Her eyebrows furrowed a bit as she held his gaze, wanting to just go into exactly how much she missed him, but deciding to hold herself back. "I worry about you." It was the truth. She did. Every day.
