"Apparently. Looks like anyone could make it into my place." She gave him a smirk, but it faded shortly there after. Not that she was cutting his remark down, but it was pretty apparent that anyone could have come in without her knowing. Not that he was just anyone. She had to admit that she almost always kept an eye on it. Whenever she heard her neighbor's doors open and close, she always looked up, hoping it would be him coming in. But it rarely was.
"Missed you." She said bluntly. She found it hard to lie to him, even though he'd know... somehow... if she even tried in the first place. Her hand finally went the rest of the way, her cold hand gently brushing his jawline and facial hair. Her eyes stayed on her own hand for a while before meeting his eyes again. "What kept you?" She tried hard to keep the hurt out of her voice, but she was almost sure he caught it. She knew she couldn't keep things like that from him. But she was going to try, because she knew he had a job to do, one that demanded so much of his time. Too much of it, in her opinion.
